Current Activities

• Health Education Workshops: “Healthy Lifestyles” Urban Yoga program focuses on OBESITY; Shape Up Step Up to a Healthier Nicetown for area children and youth.  Steps guarantee Philadelphia Health Department; served approximately 1500 youth Beginning July 2006 - through present.
  
• Philadelphia’s Adolescent Violence Reduction Partnership (AVRP)- ongoing Workshops in Violence Prevention & Healthy Lifestyles funded by Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services & Philadelphia
  Safe & Sound
  1) Training Outreach workers serving North and North West sections of Philadelphia
  2) youth workshops serving approximately 300 youth-  Beginning July 2006 - through present.
  
• Activity & Planning Services for three—Beacon, Wagner, Gesu, Gillespie—After school and summer programs; served 125 youth funded by Philadelphia Safe & Sound – July 2006 - through present.
  
• Child Advocacy serving ALL Philadelphia area youth. Activities include:
  
  1) a Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Child Welfare Advisory Board, DHS
  2) Chair- Board of Citizens for Philadelphia Public Health Center #9 (10 years)
  3) member Philadelphia Fetal Infant Mortality Review board (FIMR), DPH
  4) Healthy Start Provider Review Board, DPH
